User Guide In-Menu
basics | advanced | shortcuts | commands
in-menu | in-page | toolbar | user settings
Sometimes it's nice to get a full new window with information, but other times it can be great just to glance at something.
For example, you might want to convert a currency, temperature, distance and so on. Select $100 and choose 'Convert/currency/from U.S. Dollar' and the next level should show you results in 10 different currencies (if you prefer different currencies to be listed, you can change it in User Settings).
Clicking on any of the values inserts them into the text.

Other in-menu results you can get are, for instance, in 'References' and 'Search/pictures/Google' and 'Flickr'.
Different Behaviours
The results in 'References' and 'Pictures' behave a little different from 'Conversions' in that when clicked on, the 'Conversions' results get inserted in the page but the 'References' and 'Pictures' results cannot be clicked on. They are, in geek-speak, called 'tooltips'. If you click on the menu levels in 'References' or on '/pictures/Google' or '/pictures/Flick' you are taken to the search results pages for those searches.
Try it: Select Doug Engelbart, choose 'Search/pictures/Google' and see what you get. Do not click on 'Google', just let your mouse hover there for a while. Say hi to Doug from us will you?
